110% Surfing Techniques
This DVD is excellent it shows really helpful surfing techniques for all levels of ability. The sections are very clearly explained and cover each step in a way that you can relate to. The photography is good also and combined with the instructional aspects creates a DVD that's well worth looking at before you go surfing!
Having watched "Learn To Surf" by Andy Irons - don't bother that is only 28 minutes long and mostly a PR show case! - not worth it.
By 110% Surfing Techniques instead.

Spot On!

This DVD isn't a grandstanding showcase bigging up the ego of "locals" who know more about surfing than you - in fact, that aspect doesn't feature at all.

This DVD is clear and concise. This DVD gives the viewer practical confidence by means of easy to digest procedures, advice and hints.

This DVD isn't a low budget Fisher Price 'how to guide.' There are no patronising overtones here, it's on a level that leaves you feeling informed and mentally prepared for what ever catagory of surfer you may be or aspire to be.

Unless you're on a pro circuit, this DVD is worth the cash as it continually feeds improvement right up the scale of ability.

- Worth noting that this isn't a general guide to surfing, it's a training aid.....with no mention of boogie boards!

As a final thought, as with all things in life, to improve we have to practice, but it's knowing what to do in that practice that makes our efforts worth while. If you happen to believe that surfing is too cool for instructional DVD's then so be it, if however you want to get on with a sport that gives more the better you get at it, then you can't go wrong by watching this DVD.

Ace DVD

Is arranged in Goofy or regular stance and then further broken down into paddling and poping up.

Loads and loads of techniques to learn, I have watched it about 5 or 6 times now and see or hear a different tip each time, they are very welll filmed and edited so that you can very easliy see and hear the teaching points being conveyed.

All in all a great DVD that suits Beginners to Intermediates and also doesnt get borring each time you watch it.
