Synopsis
Red Adair is now a multimillionaire, but he has worked his way up from a poor childhood in Houston where he spent years on the railways and on bomb-disposal before becoming an expert on oil-well firefighting. This is an account of his heroic life fighting fires all over the world - the 800-foot Devil's Cigarette Lighter in Algeria, fires in the giant wells of the Awaz Field in Iran, the sabotaged wells of Sumatra and Libya, and most recently, the Piper Alpha explosion in the North Sea.

THIS BOOK SHOWS THE LIFE OF A VERY UNUSUAL MAN
THIS BOOK CONTAINS RAW EMOTIONS WHICH SURROUND A VERY UNUSUAL AND RARE MAN. RED ADAIR, HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS SHOW HIS LIFE FROM HIS WORKING IN HIS FATHERS BLACKSMITHS SHOP TO HIS RARE POSITION AS THE BEST NO NOT BEST THE OIL WELL FIRE CONTROL EXPERT IN THE BUSINESS. IT TELLS OF HIM WALKING UP TO OIL WELL FIRES AND HIS EXPERTISE IN PUTTING THEM OUT. ALSO OF HIS CAPPING OF OIL WELLS WHEN THE PRESURE OF THE OIL HAS BLOWN THE CONTROL HEAD OFF. ALL IN ALL A DARN GOOD BOOK, I'VE READ MY COPY TILL IT IS FALLING APART IT IS THAT GOOD!
