The SuicideGirls adult-entertainment website mixes the edginess and attitude of the best alternative music and culture sites with an unapologetic, grassroots approach to sexuality. It is "empowered erotica", in which women outside of mainstream culture showcase their unique personal styles on their own pages, where they put up sexy pin up style photos of themselves, post a personal profile, and keep online journals in which they discuss daily experiences (both naughty and nice). Includes an introduction by Missy Suicide about how this revolutionary culture all started.

Ultimate pin-up site's tie-in
The Suicide Girls are over 350 punk, rock, goth girls staring on and contributing to the world famous site, suicidegirls.com. This book is a showcase of some of those girls and the photography of Missy, founder of the site. It's beautiful in quality and features amazing, unique girls in pin-up poses. It's more than just a coffee table book; it's a sneak peak of their lifes, including journal entries and interests. If you're interested in alternative girls and great photography, I reccommend this book to you!
Good quality - in terms of content and presentation
What can I say? I was given this book today for my birthday and it's a well-put-together hardback: and it's the kind of book that's definitely a coffee-table read in the alternative household.
The book (and the girls) makes no apologies for what it is. It has no pretentions whatsoever about what it is and it doesn't need to try to be anything other what it is - an alternative Playboy with attitude. The girls could well be described as 'girl next door' or 'punk rocker' or whatever: but the main point of SuicideGirls is that it's about the female form and how beauty exists in many forms - not just in the saccharine form of Playboy, but also in an alternative form that more people are coming to accept.

gorgeous
it is always so nice to see lovely glossy photos of real women!! and thats what this book shows. Real punk, alt, goth etc. girls doing what the media pretty girls do and its a bit of a wake up call to tell the truth.
