Nathan have been developing products for runners for over twenty years. The Nathan Elite 1+ is more than just a water bottle. They have produced the perfect high performance running bottle, nutrition flask and carrier, with design features that will improve your running performance.
Nathan Elite 1+ features a lightweight waist pack with an exclusive XTS Cradle, which wraps snugly to the contours of the body and holds the bottle and nutrition flask securely. The limited stretch belt is comfortable, secure and breathable due to the moisture wicking mesh design. It holds the bottle bounce free without being restrictive. The waist pack also has a small zipped pocket for carrying keys, mobile phone or a wallet.
The 22oz (0.62 litre) polyethylene bottle and nutrition flask are designed to be squeezed so you can control the flow of liquid - a quick burst or a steady flow, depending on your needs. It also features a textured surface to reduce the likelihood of dropping the bottle or nutrition flask. The cap has an easy grip design to make it super easy to get on /off.
The nozzle is offset, making it easier for you to drink every last drop of fluid and its silicone rubber construction feels soft in the mouth and closes easily. The Nathan Elite 1+ also features the patent pending QuickClip finger loop for easy grabbing and attachment to backpacks and belts. The bottle can also fit into a standard cycling bottle holder.
The nutrition flask has a capacity of 5oz (160ml) which is ideal for a 100g portion of an energy gel that can provide essential carbohydrate replacement during intense physical exercise.

Not for running?
Got this product a few months ago, and have tried it out on 10-18k distances running at a good speed. Really didn't work placed in the small of the back as the flask is too heavy when filled with water and there is a lot of 'bounce'. It worked much better placed on the hip, where the bounce is less, but really needs another strap around the leg. Wrote to nathan, asking if the above was normal, but they never got back. Fine for a hike, but really not for running.
