Short lengths of the way pass through towns and villages, but the majority is along open coast, where you may hardly meet another person all day.

I purchased this before I began the walk as a companion to my OS map. Without this book my walk would have been only brilliant, with it my week walking the path has become one of my favourite weeks of my life. This is simply awesome the amount of detail is just right, it includes enough on the geology, nature and history of which Pembrokeshire is rich. Many a burial stone or Iron Age Fort would have been missed without it.

Dennis Kelsall is obviously very familiar with the path and his passion for it shines through. I have subsequently returned twice since I completed the path, each time finding something new. I still think it is important to purchase the OS map(s) as a companion to the book as you will find them more thorough than the OS maps printed in the book. Buy this book, book some youth hostels and spend the best time of your life walking this most beautiful part of the UK. I guarantee you won't regret it.
