Ebel is one of the few brands to be founded by a husband and wife team. Eugene Blum and Alice Levy lived in the famous center of Swiss watch making La Chaux de Fonds when they founded the company in 1911. The name Ebel is an acronym of their names Eugene Blum et Levy.
