Amazon.co.uk Review
Police Story 2 (1989) is one of those rare sequels that's more fun than its predecessor. Jackie Chan plays his usual rule-breaking cop, loyal to superiors that carp at the destruction he leaves in his wake but are prepared to take credit for every success he has. Here he finds himself up against vengeful gangsters whose plans he frustrated in the first of the series; but he also has to combat a ruthless team of extortionists with a taste for explosions both large and small--blowing up large buildings, turning people into human bombs and torturing people with firecrackers are all part of their repertoire. He has girlfriend trouble, too, since his fiancée is worried that he always puts the job first.

Like its predecessor and the quasi-sequel First Strike (1996), Police Story 2 is transitional between Chan's early more fight-orientated Hong Kong movies and his later, blander Hollywood films. The fights and stunts here are most of the point of what is essentially a very good generic Jackie Chan vehicle; he takes on progressively larger groups of opponents, coping, for example, with a dozen gangsters armed with swords in a terraced garden by leaping from level to level and paying each opponent individual attention. The final fight in a fireworks factory is a Chan classic, depending as it does as much on the comedy of frustrating repetition as on daring stunts. --Roz Kaveney

Synopsis
Like a cross between Buster Keaton and a blender, Jackie Chan is back in the second installment of the POLICE STORY series. This time Kevin (Chan) must once again face the mobster he caught in the first film--and the criminal's not too happy about his jail time. POLICE STORY 2 also stars Maggie Cheung and Kenny Ho.

POLICE STORY 2. JACKIE CHAN.5
If you like fast paced films with lots of action, then you should really enjoy this movie.Maggie Cheung once again plays the part of Jackie Chans girlfriend who is kidnapped by a gang. The only way Jackie can save her is by collecting a large ransom which the gang are demanding from a large corporation.
With an explosive device strapped to him he has no choice but to do what they want. However, at the same time there are many comical scenes in this great movie. Well worth buying.

A SECOND HELPING OF KUNG FU KICKS AND HUMEROUS ONE LINERS5
Jackie Chan returns to his role of Ka- Kui in this action packed sequel to the box office smash Police Story. Jackie's acting skills and humerous scenes with his co star Maggie Cheung will have you laughing at his unfortunate predicament. But the fight scenes and death defying stunts will have you glued to the screen saying "BL**** HELL". The scene in the park( which is my favourite) will have you watching this film again and again. It'll even have you showing this video off to your friends just to impress. If your a Jackie Chan fan this video is a must for your collection, and even if you have only just started watching him the police story films are a must to see. Enjoy

The return of POLICE STORY!5
Although not as good as the original it is still an excellent film. Jackie reprises his role as determined cop Ka-Kui (or Kevin in the dubbed version!) and is trying to take things easy with his long suffering girlfriend (Maggie Cheung). However the bad guys from the previous film have other ideas and proceed to torment them. Jackie has to resort to violence in order to sort them out, causing him to resign from the force. Meanwhile, a new group of terrorists have appeared and are planting bombs around the city. The force need somebody on the case - somebody like Jackie...! This is a very intense film and has very little humour in it. However, it still has awesome action sequences and an amazing stunt as Jackie jumps onto the roof of a bus and then straight through a glass window! Spectacular! Make sure you buy the Cantonese subtitled version though. As well as all the other Police Story films!
