Should be called a Palmcorder!
This is a diamond of a product. it is compact, well designed and an absolute doddle to use. I've had mine for a few weeks now and I'm still discovering extra little features. The supplied software is okay but any purchaser with Vista might like to use the Microsoft Movie Maker and DVD Maker software as an alternative.

Battery life is very good. That's one massive advantage of the machine having no moving parts to power.

Picture quality is fine indoors with the powerful built in light (the settings of which can be changed at the press of a couple of buttons). it is outside where this camcorder shows its quality. Superb in my experience. The Dolby Digital Stereo sound is passable given the size and overall spec of the product.

If you purchase this camcorder do yourself a favour and seek out a carrycase because you'll certainly want to take it out and about. A small collapsable tripod would also be a boon for any amatuer directors out there.

I still cannot get over the compact design. It should be described as a palmcorder. Yet all the major controls are easily manageable, even for those with larger fingers. The pin sharp monitor screen is also clear with touch sensitive 'laserlight' controls.

Wish I'd bought one years ago.

Great little camera
Good little camera, only just got it and recording away fine. The LCD display screen is good and the laser touch thing works fine.

Alas the only problems are that it saves the video files to .mod files not conventional AVI or MPG and also does not come with the Cyberlink Director Program for editing video as stated in the above. This is not a problem as I use Adobe Premier but still a problem for any new buyer.

The camera itself is brilliant and the zoom incredible!

Does exactly what it says on the tin and more!
Bought as a Christmas present for the hubbie. It was relatively cheap, so my expectations weren't the highest - but were admirably surpassed. Most important was the SD card.Bought a cheapish 16 gig alongside the camera and it will now record for longer than you'd ever want in one go without needing to download - best part of 24 hours if I remember correctly.The SD makes it incredibly easy to transfer recordings onto the laptop and anywhere else. Picture and sound quality are fine, including indoor recordings where light has not been at its best. All in all, it's neat, tiny and I've been more than happy with everything I've seen from it so far - thoroughly recommended.
