IMAGINATION AT WAR
Paul Nash, unusually for an English painter achieved success as a war artist(in both WW1 & WW11)a landscape artist and perhaps,as the foremost English surrealist.David Boyd Haycock's short but delightful artistic biography reveals the complex man behind these genres, supported by 60 illustrations and copiious helpful notesa nd quotations.A 'must read' for any serious lover studen of English art.
Paul Nash (British Artist Series)
One of the great early 20thC British Artists. Excellent short introduction (as are all the British Artist series). I just wish there was a companion book on his brother, John Nash.
