Having suffered from both anorexia and bulimia she has spent 20 years researching the causes of overeating. Zoe is a graduate from Cambridge University.

Finally a book for people who hate to diet! (Like me!) If you are serious about wanting to lose weight, this is the book for you. However, if you are serious about wanting to lose weight and do it in an easier way, this is the book for you. Inside I found many practical tips that really got me thru the tough times. I also enjoyed the fact that it wasn't overly complicated. A must read, along with Goodbye, Fatty! Hello, Skinny! How I Lost Weight And Still Ate The Foods I Loved-Without Dieting, which was also an easier way to lose weight without going nuts. Both, combined, have given me tremendous results.

IT REALLY WORKS!!!5
I am flabberghasted! Just one week on this diet I feel like a new woman. I have lost.....wait for it.........15lbs in exactly 1 week. This book should be shared with everyone who has ever tried and failed to lose weight and who wants to lose weight more than anything else in the world. Knowledge is a powerful thing and when you are equipped with how the body really works (and Zoe explains this so easily) it is actually simple to do. I haven't felt hungry at all. I eat as much as I want to of all the allowed foods and I stick to the rules - they are so important. I have another 30lbs to go and I look forward to waking every day to feeling fabulous. It's not just the weight loss, it's the feel good factor as well. I haven't felt this good for many years. I no longer believe I am weak willed and a failure. Honestly, I cannot recommend this book enough.

I have been to the conventional slimming clubs - you all know who they are, and yo-yo'd without much success. At 55, my thyroid function test was normal as were hormone levels. I exercise twice weekly, am a keen walker but at 5' 2" can't carry much extra weight without it noticing!I'm not a natural dieter, have been buying low-fat under 5% everything for ages, hate calorie counting and have never been much of an in between meal muncher. So why couldn't I lose weight???

Then I found "Stop counting calories & Start losing weight" by Zoe Harcombe. It seemed to have all the answers and clicked with me straight away. Since I work, I started Phase 1 on a Thursday as suggested. I needn't have worried. I couldn't believe that I had no cravings and no headaches at all even though I had gone onto decaf coffee. I didn't feel hungry between meals and at the end of the 5 days, I had lost 4.5lbs.

I have since bought "Stop counting calories & start losing weight recipe book" since I now nee help to adjust from my long spell at low fat calorie counting. What a lovely selection of recipes, easy to follow with stuff already in the cupboard or fridge. No nonsense instructions too! Would certainly recommend the Butternut squash curry. What a joy to enjoy food again - full tasting and exciting!

Weight loss after 11 days amounts to 8lbs and I'm so happy and that's with having a buffet lunch one of those days.

For anyone who has struggled with weight gain and not sure how to tackle losing it, I would recommend Zoe's book as inspiration and a very positive way forward. Her explanations are helpful and simply written. The enthusiasm will get you going. Good LucK and thank you Zoe for writing the book.
