Hullabaloo hails from a toy stable I highly admire, Cranium. If - as a play-pro - you’ve not yet had the pleasure grab one at your nearest convenience. We’ve not yet come across a single game they produce that hasn’t been a hit at the welikeplay HQ testing facility. Hullabaloo itself is perhaps the most played boxed game we own.

It comprises of a set of surprisingly hard to slip on shapes in different colours with different pictures on to be scattered on the foor, and a calling unit. This little machine is switched on and calls out which shape to jump/crawl/move sideways to; which you (parental participation has been mandatory round here) and all the munchkins follow. Continue following instructions until your children hit their obedience-to-electronic-voices threshold about 15 to 20 minutes later.

Hullabaloo Madness5
My daughter was given this for her 6th Birthday and it has not been put away since. When my daughter is at school my other child and I play it. There is really no limit to the number of folk (adults or children) who could play at one time, so useful to fill in time at a childs party even! I find the television is on less, the girls can play it on their own as it is just so simple, and it is very portable so could be taken and played almost anywhere. The game is made up of 16 plastic pads of various colours and shapes with pictures of food, animals or musical instruments on along with an electronic disc. The electronic part of the game tells you which shape to move to and how to get there, ie slither, hop, jump etc, sometimes you have to put a knee on a blue shape, a hand on a food and a nose on something else (at which point you fall into a heap). Finally the disc tells you to freeze and asks who is on a certain pad, they are the winner and must do a funky monkey dance or take a bow. It then all starts again. Very simple but the kids love it and they use up loads of energy moving from pad to pad. Only drawback is the electronic disc is a little tinny and gets annoying after a while (kids don't seem to notice this!)

This is a great game! Easy to set up, easy to explain and enjoyable to play for all ages. My daughter is five and this is the game we always get out when friends are round because it is so simple but still entertaining. Just pop down the pads tell the children to stand on a purple one and to do what the man says then put on the game and leave them to it. Great.

Hilarious, energetic fun for all5
I bought this game for my five year old daughter for Christmas because all the other Cranium games that we have provide hours of entertainment for all three of my daughters. This is hilarious. My girls have played it for over an hour this afternoon. I have been entertained just watching them leaping about, trying to touch different parts of their body to the various pads and doing very funny victory dances (as instructed). Brilliant, energetic fun!
