A must buy for anyone with or suspecting a Thyroid condition
Having been diagnosed with a thyroid problem a couple of years ago I have been searching for the most current and informative books on the market and at last I think I have found the one!! This book discusses everything from the causes, the symptoms and what treatments are available including alternative medicine and drugs available privately.
I was fortunate enough to find a consultant (mentioned in the book) who has changed my medication, and my life!! This book could help anyone who is not feeling the benefit of conventional treatments to better understand their condition, possibly find another answer and hopefully lead a happier and healthier life. Surely that is worth every penny?
Good luck!!
great book,everyone should read
i have been hpothyroid for 11 months now, being treated with levothyroxine.this book has empowered me.a very easy read that you can understand,my doctor told me i was on the right dose of medication, but after reading this book i soon realised i was'nt,i went straight back to him and mentioned this book,he agreed to increase my dose and after a couple of months i feel so much better.as patients we have to remember that our doctor's can't just give out a magic pill and everything is going to be o.k. reading great books like this and becoming more knowledgeable of our own illnesses, and having a great doctor who listens goes along way,but most of all you have to learn to listen to what your body is telling you if you want to be in control and to live well.
Clear and comprehensive
I've looked at various books on thyroid conditions and this one is the clearest and most comprehensive I've come across. I've used information from the book to get a diagnosis and pursue treatment. Useful if you think you may have a thyroid problem, or are dissatisfied with the treatment you're getting. Written by Drs with personal experience of hypothyroidism, and with a chapter specifically designed to be shown to your Dr.
