Average customer review:
Love her or hate her, Dita has produced the most beautiful book where even burlesque experts will learn something new: whether to do with the history of burlesque or vintage make up. It's written in a highly readable style (no long words!)and of course the pictures are outstanding. Flip the book to read about the fetish side of Dita.

Product Description

A two-sided photographic tour of the world of modern American burlesque and fetish includes in the first part a cultural history of burlesque complemented by the author's provocative tips on erotic fashion and sensuality, and in the second part a photographic celebration of fetish style.

Fabulous!5
For starters, this book really is a bargain price: Dita could easily have priced this at £30 or £40. It's a substantial, heavy hardback, full of quality glossy pages. The book is split into two sections- the front is Burlesque and the Art of the Teese, but flip the book over and the book is called Fetish and the Art of the Teese. Each section equates to pretty much half of the book, so there is no preference shown for one or the other. Inside, most of the full page photos are accompanied by a page of text, so it's not just a book of photos, there is also a lot about Dita herself. She reveals her style inspirations, favourite designers, how she styles herself, the history of Burlesque, her favourite dancers, her tips & techniques and some autobiographical detail. All of the photos are very artistic and there is some nudity. If you are interested in fetish, burlesque, erotica, photography, dance or just Dita herself, then I really recommend this book because I don't think you will be disappointed by the sheer scope and depth of this jam-packed book.

Burlesque Secrets5
A simply stunning book, visually a portfolio of some of the best photographs ever taken of one of my all-time favorite models, erotic dance and renowned beauty, Dita Von Teese.
Dita does not disappoint, any fact, relevant to the history of burlesque is included here. It is interesting, fascinating and stimulating reading, in fact I could not put this book down.
It is also a 'tour de force' showing Dita's deep love of her subject and her research into it, this is no light weight essay on striptease but a fun and enjoyable read on female and male fantasy. The other half of the book devoted to Fetishism has a detailed analysis of such fetishes as stockings, shoes, feet, rubber and leather.
I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Well worth waiting for!5
So finally it's out, having been put back seemingly time and time again, but it has to be said - it was worth waiting for.

This is a beautiful book, a decent-sized, hefty coffee table tome, packed to the gills with photos spanning Dita's career, covering pin up, fetish and burlesque. It all makes for fantastic eye candy, and the writing's pretty nifty, too.

Whether you're specifically a Dita fan, or are just keen on stylish, elegant glamour photography, this is well worth getting hold of.
