Amazon.co.uk Review
This is tragicomedy of the highest Loser order. Drunk Enough to Dance, the second album from Texan pop punks Bowling for Soup, rips through the kind of chugging riffs and high-school trauma that no US teen movie should be without.
Led by former pet-shop owner Jaret Von Erich, the quartet here deliver 17 speedy doses of wise-cracking brat-pop while Von Erich picks over his hapless love life. As in the top-10 single "Girl All the Bad Guys Want"--a frustration-venting pogo-along about a hot rock-chick with a nose ring--the objects of his affection are invariably out of his league. This prompts a deluge of droll wallowing along the lines of this, in "Don't Wanna Rock": "She makes me want to be a homosexual / maybe then I'd be her best friend and see her naked once in a while." Even when he does get the girl of his dreams, in true screw-up style there are minor hiccups, as he whines regretfully on the lovelorn belter "Emily": "I got drunk / had sex with all your friends / you told me I should never call your house again."
Self-conscious, self-deprecating, and heavy on the self-pity, with big choruses, killer lines and a persecution complex to match, slacker rock doesn't come much better than this. --Dan Gennoe

MUST HAVE ALBUM! =]
Personaly, i would go for this album out of all the other Bowling For Soup albums. It shows BFS at thier highest without a doubt, thier catchy pop-punk lyrics and catchy music makes this album simply irrisistable! I would strongly reccomend this album to ANYBODY, if u like pop-punk, power-pop ect. you will siply love this album as i find it hard to find a pop-punk album that can simply top this. BFS are the best of what they do, and they have a touch that no other band can simply provide.
The strongest track on this album is probibly 'Girl All The Bad Guys Want', i know its not too cool to use a bands biggest hit as your strangest track but its simply a must listen to. It a great song to listen to on an ipod or MP3.
Drunk Enough To Dance - Best Pop-Rock Record EVER!
GET HAPPY! :]
The Last Rock Show of Our Lives
There are not many groups out there anymore that can tickle a listener's funny bone. Blink 182 grew up then broke up, Bloodhound Gang have been tailoring the same joke for ten years and unfortunately music is now dominated by sad ballads by people like Coldplay and James Blunt.
Bowling for Soup's summery pop-punk for me is the sunshine equivalent to the drizzly and miserable sounds of Chris Martin. Drunk Enough to Dance is probably their second best album available.
Featuring the classic 'Girl all the Bad Guys Want', Drunk Enough to Dance parodys through self-consciousness with witty lines, catchy hooks and a smile. Perhaps even Jaret had no idea, these songs would get his band a grammy nomination.
It must be said if you like songs about egotism (Self-Centered), dreaded in-laws (Running from your Dad) and low self-esteem (Scaring Myself) then Drunk Enough to Dance is a very funny record.
Buy this along with A Hangover You Don't Deserve. You will not regret it. :-)
