Customer Reviews

Soulful and funky must-have.5
I got this album after hearing the Steppin' track on another compilation album and really liked the funky hiphop sound.
After reading the great reviews it had on here it made it much easier a decision to go for the purchase. Plus getting the Repackaged album meant that I got 8 more tracks. It was a bargain!
Some of the vocalists on here are amazing. Especially Angela Johnson, and I've also got a few of her albums!
This album is a fusion of funky house, soul, jazz. Some higher tempo tracks and some just excellent to chill out to.

Just Buy It5
I first heard "You used to hold me so tight" on a Hed Kandi album. After looking at reviews I decided to go for it. I love this album and have played it a lot. Very high quality sound with funky yet contemporary tunes.

If you are a Brand New Heavies fan or love that 2nd Album from Beverley Knight you won't be disappointed. You must get this with the 2nd disc - the live tunes are wonderful even though it is hard to believe they are actually live.

I want see these guys in concert - look on YouTube - they put so much energy into their performance.

Funky!5
This band is really great! They manage to produce really varied tunes whilst also never sounding cheesy, I especially like The Rain and You Used to Hold Me So Tight. Essential listening and then some!
