Absolutely cracking! Give it a go!5
Spinto are the sort of band that should be huge in Indie circles. Having seen them live, I can confirm there are about ten of them, and they fill the record in the same way they fill the stage. The music is short, sharp, bouncy and catchy. The highlights are Oh Mandy, with it's infectious toe-tapping chorus, Direct to Helmet, which builds into probably the most radio-friendly track on the album, and Mountains - shortest and sharpest of all - which for about two minutes rattles its way around a unique chorus melody and some super lyrics.

Spinto sound like no one in the charts, and although they may sound a bit like lots of people from the past, there are enough unique things about this album to make it not sound a lot like anyone.

I really like Spinto Band, can you tell?

Oh Man(deez guys are amazing!)5
Suggested as a good listen to me by a guy at work, this is, by far, the best album I've heard this year. Since I'm only 19 I can't compare them to any band I've heard before, but the music is beautiful and wonderfully written. The lyrics, (found in a box found in his grandfather's attic, after he died) contribute to being the best story for any band forming I've heard yet...passing on your dead grandfather's lyrical legacy... :-)
On top of this, the album comes together brilliantly and doesn't have a bad song on it. What's more, there are quite a few tracks which deserve to be singles.
If an album which won't disappoint is what you're looking for then buy this!

Happy Clappy Indie4
I came across these guys last night when they were supporting the Kooks, along with Boy Kill Boy and Mumm-ra. Have to say that I do quite admire them...their energy onstage was unrivalled and the fact that they kept playing each other's instruments and kept their harmony in tune won me over. This album is most definitely Calfornian Indie...the atmosphere of the Beach boys or Mamas and Papas combined with a fresh indie sound.
