Customer Reviews
NOT GREAT
I felt a bit mislead when buying this as the track listing contained artists like The Presets, Crystal Castles and The Klaxons. I thought I was getting some thing much more electronic (electroclash) maybe like the Bugged Out! compilations. Instead I found that this compilation full of indie based electronica. Some very obvious influences from bands such as The Cure, Joy Division, The Smiths and The Libertines on here. There are some gems on here though. Unfortunately I already had them. I wouldn't recomend this to any one who is looking for an electronic album. I wouldn't recomend it as an indie album either because some of the songs on here are pretty average. Nothing you're going to hear on the radio or in a club (even at specific club nights) except for The Presets.
In my opinion this is just a poor mans Kitsune Maison. If you know what I'm talking about you'll probably understand. If you don't I suggest you check out the Kitsune compilations as they contain an excellent selection of electronica and indie. I'd say avoid this though, even if it is only £4.
Bargain
if u can see any bands you like on the track listings, buy the album. and at #4 you cant go wrong
a few gems in there...
yes, as others have said it "takes a few listens" to pick out the gems, of which there are a few.
That said, most of it's crap, terrible vocals in places too. but for £4 you cant really go wrong.
