earlies go for it
Excellent what more can I say. Great performance at Glastonbury again.
Impressive debut
I heard 'Things' on a radio session a few months ago, and it was the first song that made me stop dead in my tracks for years. Checked out some other songs, after various internet searches, and went ahead and bought the album.
There are a few rockers (eg. All ones and zeros; The simple solution) but these are followed by more downbeat interludes which I find almost 'chillout' (in a good sense!). The album has an ebb & flow feel, interspersed with some recurring themes and motorik/krautrock tendencies (Musik der Fruhen Jahre; and the end of ' High times and low lives').
Definitely one of my favourite albums of 2006.

It might just be an exited teenager ranting away. But this is brilliant. Things is one of the best songs of the year and I genuinley believe its the best debut of its kind (Space Rock..bueaty) since Pure Phase (Spiritualized of course). Hopefully it wont become the unsung hit of the year. But I fear it just might. Buy it!
