One word. Avoid
When someone releases a first single thy send out a message, they let you know what they're like, give you a taste of what's to come.
With this offering Kate Nash is saying you either like me of hate me.
As you can tell by the very generous one star I fall into the latter and not the former.
Not I have great respect for artists wh0 try to sound different. Regina Spector, Tori Amos, Lily Allan (who people always draw parallels with Kate, I feel sorry for Lily in that case) Goldfrapp. But with Lil' ol' Katie you get someone who talks most of her song in an attempt to connect with the listener, telling us about how her and her beau are have trouble in their relationship. And when she does sing it comes out flat and bored, like she doesn't want to sing it.
In my eyes, it could've been and interesting song if only for one thing, the lack of singing or song writing talent on display.
If you like someone tring to warble in a "Mockney" accent in a song that would be better done by someone with more ability, then feel free and buy this single. If not then go and buy someone better like the suberb Adele or Duffy.

Missing the point
This is a fantastic single. I think people who have bought it are missing the point. Music isn't always about being serious and complicated. Sometimes music is wonderful because we can relate to it, it's fun, it's up beat, and making something magical about something bad. I think it's fantastic, I'm glad I'm not missing the point.

Wot, I 'ave to giv it wun star ?
I heard this first on Later with Jools Holland and didn't mind it. However, subsequent listens have made me quickly realise that this is just about the worst thing out at the moment. It sounds like she made in up as she was singing it in the studio. The accent sounds so false and is enough to give me nightmares of children copying her after listening to this.

I'm sure she has talent, but this is utter garbage, pure drivel and I'll scream if I go into a record shop one more time and hear it blaring out.
