Customer Reviews
Fantastic but no UK release?
I was very fortunate to have been in the US in June and having been recommended this band many time, picked up this CD. It made me an instant fan which is something coming from my age group. Excellently produced with superb song-writing and consummate musicianship: this album makes me shocked that the UK hasn't picked up on them as a group. Nearly every track is memorable and is one of the few CDs I will listen through from start to finish. From delicious rock rooted tracks (Disarray, The Joke, Bridges) to heart-felt ballads (Learn You Inside Out, Broken, Storm) and all the great songs in between. This is a must-own and has started my Lifehouse collection.
So why on earth has their label not given it a UK release yet?
The best band on the planet - another masterpiece
Most artists release an album with two or three really good singles but the rest of the album is poor. Lifehouse are different! Every album sounds like a greatest hits record and this is no different. Criminally overlooked in this country they continue to put every other band to shame. This album is simply breathtaking...
1 Disarray - nice rocky opener. Words have meaning...
2 First Time - the band captures first love perfectly
3 Whatever it takes - it will grow on you!
4 Who we are - amazing guitar work / superb lyrics
5 Broken - a great ballad
6 The Joke - one of the best rock songs on the album
7 Easier to be me - just a brilliant song
8 Make me over - speaks to the heart
9 Mesmerized - awesome
10 Bridges - every song could be a single
11 Learn you inside out - the best song on the album. It will grow on you after a while and you'll realise how much of a genuis Jason wade is
12 Storm - perfect ending
10/10
Best since No Name Face
I've liked this band since NoName Face, and I think this is their best album since then. Though Stanley Climbfall and their Self-titled album had some great tracks on it, this album sounds much fuller in comparison. Jason Wade's vocals are as strong as ever, and they never shy away from using the FX pedal. Like alot of reviews have said, the stand out track has to be Broken. Its a shame they aren't better known in the UK, there are alot of people missing out on some great music.
