Amazing Pop Song.
This is a catchy song, with good vocals. The SuGaBaBeS never disapoints! They're still going strong.
About You Now knocked out Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls from the top of the charts and stayed here for an amazing four weeks. And made it to the top ten in 18 countries. This song RULES!!!

I'll hold my hands up, i think i'm one of the few people who didn't fall completely in love with About You Now. Looking back at some of the awesome, cutting edge tunes the 'babes have come up with in the past like Freak Like Me and Red Dress this just doesn't feel like the best they're capable of.

That said, it is still and amazing pop song and miles better than a lot of the other stuff around in the charts at the moment. It's all budget 80s synths and cutesy charm and obviously the vocals are top notch. In essence, the perfect pure-pop song. It's fast, it's feisty and it's dead catchy.

(I'd have liked to see the video here on this CD 2 - it was well stylish and the ever charming Amelle, Heidi and Keisha looked great in it)

In terms of remixes, first up you've got the Sticky 'Dirtypop' Remix which adds some Red Hot Chili Peppers funk guitar stylings into the mix, it's a really interesting re-interpretation. Not a dance mix as such but a fantastic version that launches into 80s club tropicana synths in the chorus and packs a great little bassline right the way thorugh.

The second mix, the Spencer & Hill one, is the version that famously everyone downloaded before the radio edit had become available and got the song first into the charts. It's typical commercial club stuff, not overly impressive but completely functional.

In Recline is retro soul style in the way the 'babes so seem to love. It's ok but nothing special.

Sugababes on 7" - i like it!

A nice extra for collectors and big Sugababes fans to issue their number 1 single on 7" too - it comes in a nice purple and yellow sleeve. The exclusive track you get on here is the Kissy Sell Out Remix. He recently also remixed Song 4 Mutya for ex 'babe Mutya and his work is equally quirky and good here. Lots of bleepy fun and the guitary feel of the original track is still maintained while distilling the track into a great floorfiller.
