Magnolia Electric Co - Excellent. Do you expect much less from Molina? Some of the CDs are a bit short, but 4 CDs, DVD and extras make it well worth the £25, trust me.

Okkervil River - With the huge rise in popularity a couple of years back with 'Black Sheep Boy', this becomes their test. Not Okkervil's finest moment, but still good.

Fury of the Headteachers - Only received this today and haven't had a chance to listen to it, but from what I've heard in the past, they're one band from Sheffield that actually deserves attention.

Origamibiro - Absolutely beautiful instrumental music in places on this album. As a whole, it's good, but there are stand out tracks

Watoo Watoo - French, almost baroque twee pop. Not really a sound I can describe well, but it's a very nice album.

Seabear - Possibly the best album this year. No other album stands out for me that beats this. Definitely an essential (especially for Sufjan fans and the like). BUY BUY BUY!!!

Hour of the Wolf - EP number 2 from a great hardcore punk band, this one's a bit more bluesy though and not quite as good as the last.

Fursaxa - aka Tara Burke is another creator of the ever growing free-folk movement. But this is her fifth album, a veteran of the genre if you wish.

Roam the Hello Clouds - Side project from a member of the excellent Triosk and recorded a few years back. Heavily trumpeted.

Nocturne: Late nights at the Whitechapel - Great selection of avant-garde, yet very listenable music from the likes of Leopard Leg, Humanzee and Agaskodo Teliverek.

Avey Tare & Kria Brekkan - As members of Animal Collective and Mum - respectively - they have joined for this odd concept of an album. The whole thing has been put into rewind. Decent & interesting.
