	Naked Lunch [DVD] [1992] David Cronenburg did a surprisingly very good job of translating this book
	Lanark (Canongate Classics) by Alasdair Gray Buy new: £20.83 This is the best book I have ever read. This version is the best version I have ever felt. You owe it to yourself
	Brazil [1985] [DVD] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.65 Director Terry Gilliam presents a bleak and fearful outlook on beurocracy in a bizarre way. With a few points of very dark humour, this is my favourite movie of all time.
	The Machinist [2004] [DVD] [2005] Buy used from: £1.46 Brilliant film about a man who hasnt slept for a year, and believes he is unravelling a conspiracy about the strange 'Ivan'
	I Heart Huckabees [DVD] [2004] Buy new: £3.68 / Used from: £0.64 Ok so this film isnt surreal, but it is rather bizarre, brilliantly written and very funny. Definately in my top ten.
	Pi [DVD] [1999] Buy used from: £7.99 Pi is an absolute classic. A paranoid mathematician obsessively studies chaos theory, getting wrapped up in more than he would like.
	Donnie Darko [2002] [DVD] Buy used from: £0.50 Not genius or anything, but still a rather good watch a couple of times. Interesting theory behind some of this film, relating to time travel and quantum flux, things like that...
	Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream (Harper Perennial Modern Classics) by Hunter S. Thompson Buy new: £4.49 / Used from: £2.25 rather bizarre recollection of a drug-fuelled road trip around nevada. Brilliantly written as are all Thompson's works
	The Trial (Vintage Classics) by Franz Kafka Buy new: £4.79 / Used from: £2.49 Fantastic, yet bleak story of a man on trial without knowing why. Very surreal
