This is the second book from Robbie Williams, written with acclaimed music writer Chris Heath. For the first time the full, unexpurgated story of his life - brutally frank, funny and honest. First came Ebury's massively successful, 2001 illustrated account of Robbie's touring world, "Somebody Someday". Now the time has come for the complete, intimate story of Robert P Williams. Spanning his childhood through Take That to his current status as rock icon, probing his love life and his family relationships, this is closer than you'd ever thought you'd get to Robbie Williams. Written by Chris Heath, who has spent nearly two years working with Rob on this book, every word is imbued with Rob's humour, charisma, talent, memories and complexity. But more than ever before, this book tells the truth about his extraordinary life. Billy Connolly told his story through his wife, and with Rolling Stone journalist, Chris Heath, Robbie's own story promises to be as brilliantly and insightfully told. You may have seen his face a million times, heard his music every day, followed him from the beginning of Take That, but this is a man with some serious surprises in store. "Robbie Williams" is a ground-breaking package; a truly original and brilliantly written book; a grippingly honest story of an extraordinary man.

Editorial Reviews
Heat
The definitive book on Robbie Williams
Observer
A phenomenal piece of journalism... an absorbing essay on fame and the music industry
Sunday Telegraph
Perceptive, sympathetic and sometimes shocking. It is also - because Williams is a genuinely amusing man - wonderfully funny
Customer Reviews
The Entertainer
Robbie Williams song and dance man and entertainer and according to The Sunday People a budding thespian.
The former Take That star has just signed to star as East End gangster Harry Harris in the Garry Jackson crime novel Till Death Us Do Part.
As ever the perfectionist the Northern sould boy is watching old episodes of Only Fools And Horses to learn the cockney accent.
That story sums up this book - Robbie always wants to give his best performance.
He was Take That, he was Brit Pop and in Angels wrote and recorded one of the greatest anthems of all-time.
It is along with My Death by David Bowie the song I want played at my funeral.
This book - his life story would make a great movie.
It's a roller coaster of emotions...
I have to admit that I was in two minds about whether to read this book. There is a lot of hype in the press about Robbie and in the end I decided that I wanted to know the truth. So I decided to buy it an find out for myself once and for all.
Well what can I say? I read the previous reviews that other people have written and was quite dismayed at some of the negativity. Consequently, I came to the conclusion of 'What book were they reading?'. Chris Heath's book is compelling and an excellent read whether you are a fan or not. From the first chapter I was gripped and couldn't put it down. It is rare for a book to be able to take you on a roller coaster of emotions. This book certainly does that, taking you through the highs and the lows of Robbies life and the world that he lives in. Any book that can make me burst out laughing and then a few pages later make my heart sink and reduce me to tears is a true test to it's author and it's subject.
Overall, an excellent read and I would highly recommend it.
The man, the myth, the truth..?
There are so many things said about Robbie Williams and as it says on the cover "The thruth is in here, somwhere"; I think it`s right
I read the book the day it came out and have read it again. It`s a strong story; very sad, covers the contradictions, is witty, honest and brave in its many ways - having a journalist put into print when your actually not being such a nice bloke...
It tells it all!!!
And as Chris Heath also focuses on the downsides of being famous, I even think it might be a book for those who arn`t Robbie fans
