Synopsis
Becky thought being married to Luke Brandon would be one big Tiffany box of happiness. But to be honest, it's not quite as dreamy as she'd hoped. The trouble started on honeymoon, when she told Luke the tiniest little fib, about the teeniest little purchase. Now she's on a strict budget, she doesn't have a job - and worst of all her beloved Suze has a new best friend. Then she receives some incredible news. She has a long-lost sister! Becky has never been more excited. Finally, a real sister! They'll have so much in common! They can go shopping together...choose shoes together...have manicures together...Until she meets her - and gets the shock of her life. It can't be true. Surely Becky Bloomwood's long-lost sister can't...hate shopping? A sister, a soulmate, a skinflint?

Customer Reviews
Not as good as earlier books in the series, but still worth reading
In this instalment in the life of Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood), the honeymoon is over and Becky is struggling to adjust to normal married life. Luke is obsessed with his work as always, and Suze (Becky's best friend), has made another friend which makes Becky feels surplus to requirements. Becky also discovers that she has a half-sister. Nothing runs smoothly, but then it never does for Becky! All is well in the end though. Becky is more introspective in this novel, which is good. She is still a shopaholic, something which is causing problems within her marriage, and it also drives a wedge between Becky and her sister. They do eventually find they have some things in common. Once again, there is much humour from Kinsella, but for me Becky is beginning to get irritating. She is funny and warm and generous to the last though, so you have to forgive her.
The Best So Far!
It took just over 24 hours for me to read this brilliant book from start to finish. I've already ordered Shopaholic & Baby, and can't wait to receive it and start devouring that one too!
Back to this book: it has everything, laughter, tears, arguments and plenty of drama!
Can't recommend highly enough!
Funniest of the series
I loved this book. Becky is as annoying as ever as she reverts to her shopaholic ways (not seen so much in Ties the Knot) but I just love seeing how she gets herself out of those situations where you think that Luke is eventually going to go completely crazy at her. He really does have the patience of a Saint. OK, the end with the sister is a little predictable but not totally since you don't know what will tip the scales to them being able to communicate with each other!!
Also, I kind of liked that she and Suze were not best friends anymore - that is so true to life....one friend gets married and has kids and starts hanging around with other mothers and you lose your place as "best" friend, especially when you go away for months on end. I'm sure it's happened to every woman of a certain age!!
Can't wait to read the next installment.
