A deeply moving, rawly honest, and true account of one girl's internal battle to overcome her eating disorders. Darah Echevarria was a mere child of nine when her whole life became a blinkered obsession about one thing: food - eating too much, not eating at all. Do you have any idea what it is like to live with just one thought dominating over everything you do? When food becomes your entire life? A life of figures. Calories, kilograms, hours, minutes. Counting, always counting. And the lies, the endless promises, the deadlines, the disappointment, the self-deprecation. 'So Now You Know' is a necessary breath of fresh air among a host of scientific, academic explanations, excuses, justifications, legitimisations - it is emotional, sincere, demystifying. A confession.

Not worth it
It was a tiny book, & quite disappointing. Its meant to be her memoir of suffering a disorder, but there's so little effort given or detail gone into. It ends up sounding like a patronising "see, I got out, so can you" ramble dotted with teenage diary gushes of how much she loves her boyfriend. Yeah...naff.
The people who swear it changed their lives have probably not read much else in this area...
Not very good
When this book arrived I was most disapointed to see that there were hardly any pages what so ever and on the few pages that there were, the print was printed in large font to take up more space!!!
I really enjoy reading books about peoples lives but this was a very disapointing read.
It was very basic and not very interesting what so ever. It was not very informative and was very "fairtytale".
I would not recomend this book to anybody.
Don't bother
I enjoy reading mental health books and anything about depression, illnesses and eating disorders.
I knew that this book was short but when it arrived I found that it had very few pages and the text was very large! argh.
I read it anyway and found that it was a real disappointment.
Darah tells the story of her life with Anorexia but fails to do so effectively. Instead, the book is bland and pretty much a pointless read. It felt like I was reading a teenager's diary, especially when she 'falls in love' with an older man at the end...
I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a decent book - a magazine lasts longer and is more informative!
