My Sister's Keeper: A Novel (Picoult, Jodi)My Sister's Keeper: A Novel (Picoult, Jodi) by Jodi Picoult
Buy used from: £8.40
Such a sad book. Spoiler alert: why oh why did Jodi have to kill Anna off at the end? This book is beautifully written and its a complete page turner.
My Best Friend's GirlMy Best Friend's Girl by Dorothy Koomson
Buy new: £5.49 / Used from: £0.01
It charts the progress of Kamryn and Tegans relationship very well. Although the ending seems a bit rushed (spoiler alert)- Luke leaves, gets married, divorced and alls well again. Still a good book.
The Secret Dreamworld of a ShopaholicThe Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
Buy new: £5.49 / Used from: £0.01
This and the following two in the series are extremely funny and enjoyable. I can relate to Becky so much, its weird. Absolutely worth a read.
The Undomestic GoddessThe Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella
Buy new: £5.49 / Used from: £0.01
Not as good as the shopaholic series but still very entertaining. Takes a bit of time to get into though. Trish and Eddie are hilarious.
The Last Song of DuskThe Last Song of Dusk by Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi
Buy new: £0.21 / Used from: £0.01
One word- Interesting. Bits of it are wonderful (early stages of Anuradhas marriage), Others are just downright weird (Nandini/panther thing) Give it a go if u want to try something different.
The Kite RunnerThe Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Buy new: £3.15 / Used from: £1.50
A beautifully written, vivid book. High on the tragedy quotient but highly recommended.
The Lost Art of Keeping SecretsThe Lost Art of Keeping Secrets by Eva Rice
Buy new: £1.05 / Used from: £0.01
I was suprised by how much i liked this book. Utterly charming. Do not be put off by the blurb- it doesn't do it justice.
The HistorianThe Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £0.01
A brilliant first half which is somewhat diluted by the rushed ending. Needed to be chopped in places but overall a decent read.
