Great guide, worth every penny
As you'd expect from Rough Guides, this book is very thorough, and full of brilliant advice.

We booked our holiday to Lanzarote with accommodation included but wanted to explore the island on our own once we were there. Lanzarote Directions was really, really useful! Enjoyable and easy to read, too. There's so much more to Lanzarote than the obvious places that the standard tours take you to, and this book helped us find all sorts of interesting things.

Next time we'll stay at one of the villas recommended in the book - some of them sound like real finds - and do everything independently.

Rough Guide Directions Lanzarote and Fuerteventura
Pointless purchase - I bought this guide when I was planning a trip to Fuerte - Although it references Fuerte in the title do not be mislead as its a guide book for Lanzarote with extremely minimal info about Fuerte - I also bought the AA spiral guide to Fuerte and I would recommend it

very useful book!
Took this book on our second visit to Lanzarote - and wished we'd had it first time round! It was very helpful and much more informative than the guide we used before.

Great restaurant info. We discovered some really nice new spots.

The Fuerteventura chapter gave us just enough in the way of ideas for us to plan a quick side trip over there. We had fun but now understand why there's only the one Fuerte chapter in the book - Lanza is just SO much nicer (sorry Fuerte fans!!!)
