Customer Reviews
serious about afternoon tea
This is a book for those who are serious about afternoon tea. We're talking white tablecloths, the delicate tinkling of silver on bone china, and all that sort of thing, mostly with prices to match.
There are 200 establishments listed. Many are in London, and 'genteel' places such as York and Bath. By contrast, my county (Bedfordshire) doesn't even have one!
The guide gives a good idea of the various tea options on offer, including the price.
There are quite a few pages of recipes included, which have been supplied by the various establishments listed.
This would be a good book for anyone planning a special treat, but not so useful if you just want 'tea and a bun' whilst on your travels.
