"The Connoisseur's Guide to Tea" is an indispensable source of reference to this beloved beverage. Authoritative, informative and inspirational, it covers everything from how tea was first 'discovered' to advice on where to buy it, how it should be stored to making the perfect cup of tea. While tea is the world's most popular drink, most people are familiar with and partake in just a tiny portion of the huge array of high-quality teas that are available. This primer opens up this diverse and exciting world and encourages you to seek out and try some of today's most exquisite offerings. Inside, you'll find a country-by-country directory that is divided into four main parts. The first three sections look closely at the world's eleven major tea-producing nations. Profiles of recommended teas detail the essential brewing characteristics of flavour, aroma and colour, and also offer brewing hints and drinking recommendations. The final section is a brief guide to the world's other tea-producing countries, from Argentinia to Zimbabwe.

Customer Reviews
quite good, but could do with more detail
I would have liked more detail on the individual teas (second half of book) rather than the parts on the history of tea etc. also would have been good to have full recommendations on how to get the most out of a given tea, and what to look for when buying/tasting tea.
