You know how you get presents that really REALLY make you happy, gifts that you can't think how you ever lived without? No? Me neither. But that cycle of gifts that save you money because you pass them on to the next unsuspecting acquaintance was finally broken when I was given one of those digital picture frames. My pictures are free from their screen saver prison! I've got mine on random mode, each new picture brings back that favoured moment in time (downside, may turn you a bit soppy).
As an added bonus, with its great luminosity, and great resolution, it makes my most mundane photos look better than they deserve.
Just as important, I don't even need to rack my brains in the search of the perfect present anymore. By itself, it's a great gift for everyone (good design, and really simple to use even for technophobes I should think). And you can easily get extra thoughtfulness points by uploading a few pictures beforehand to personalise your gift. I love it.
