Editorial Reviews

Review
"* "Steeped in as much symbolism as you dare extract... A fascinating book that will afford hours of imaginative unravelling." The Guardian * "A haunting, strange story with the feel of a Brothers Grimm tale. It will say a great deal to any child with brothers or sisters, and the pictures are - naturally - quite superb." Practical Parenting"

lovely book for teaching adventure stories in year 33
Recently used this book to teach adventure/mystery stories to year 3 class. Children loved the characters (brother and sister) as well as the mysterious aspect of what happened to Jack. Great for drama!

The tunnel. Anthony Browne5
I bought this book for my children ( 5 and 6 years old). I think it's a very nice book, the meaning of the story between the brother and the sister it's very nice. The pictures of the book are amazing, by only watching the pictures you can guess the feelings of the children. My kids love it and me too.

Superb book which entices child and adult alike.5
Simple yet deeply poignant book which follows in Anthony Brownes' ongoing success at producing wonderful books. This was matched by the wonderful illustrations which leaves your imagination running wild.
