Customer Reviews
Barely fit for purpose
I rarely write online reviews, but I found myself agreeing with everything the previous reviewer said (FG O'Leary). I have had exactly the same experience with this product. To reiterate:
1) This clipper should be called a "thinner"... cutting half-heartedly at your hair. It can take up to 20 minutes to just give myself a grade 2 all-over.
2) The motor speed will vary inconveniently with the orientation of the clippers.
3) The plastic guide easily slips, so a grade 3 quickly becomes a patchy grade 1 (not a good look)
4) The charging is haphazard.
5) It can jam.
Recommendation: avoid
Not worth it.
OK, I know £20 is not very much, but this has to be one of the most disappointing purchases. I have used three earlier clippers, and none have been so poor. First, it thins rather than clips hair, so you have to go over the same area many times to get it cut and even so there are many stray long hairs. The guide/guard doesn't seem to be able to lift the hair. Second, the guard itself is very insecure so if you press a little too hard, it drops to minimum and you get a big chunk of hair cut out, or you would if the clippers were at all effective. Third, the motor seems very feeble. I charged it for the requisite 16 hours, but it ran like it was about to run out of juice, also, the speed of the motor seemed to depend on the orientation of the clippers, speeding up and slowing down as you turn it. I'm sending mine back.
