Is it any good?
I bought this product but I will be returning it without using it. Why? -Because I am doubtful if the product is any good.
My reason for doubt is the design of the hair guides. Like most clippers, the guides have channels which guide the hair to the cutting blades. But on this model the guides are wider than the blade so the outer channels have been blanked off and do not feed the cutting blades. How daft is that! The result is that these clippers cannot cut close to edges, such as around the ears. In order to cut around the ears it is necessary to use scissors; to cut the bits the clippers will miss (even the instructions tell you to use scissors). This seems crazy to me - if the product had been better thought out it would not be necessary to use scissors - scissors and children do not mix well. To be honest, I don't know if this is a big issue or a small one, but I'd sooner get my money back while I can than find out the hard way.
