It's rubbery and It Works!
Ok, it took a little while to work it out, but it is very neat. The case has a nice protective rubbery feel to it...good grip and thin over the control buttons, so you can easily feel your way around.
True...it does not have a screen protector, but you can buy these as another product. I have the screen protector as well, an it works really well with the rubber case (or is it silicon). The protector (not included with the case) is the exact size of the screen, so place it very carefuly to make sure you cover all the screen (unlike me).
Back on the case...the wiring tidy thing is like a false back connected to the middle of the rear of the case by a large red plasic circle, about the size of a 2p coin. You simply plug your earphones into the normal socket and wrap the lead around the plasic 2P circle between the back and the false back...keep wraping until you have the right length of cable you need. There's alittle slit at the other end of the false back for the cable to slide into to keep things neat. As others have said..no instructions, which is surprising. Last thing, I have notice two little holes at one end of the case that must be for sliding a cord through so you can hang the device around your neck or whatever. I haven't tried this, so don't know how secure it is......hope this is usefull!
Not up to the job
The Creative Zen Skin doesn't cover the screen. There's a big hole where you'd expect there to be transparent plastic. It's therefore not much use if you want to protect the whole unit.
The wire management is basically a flap at the back. It doesn't have room for the headphones.
Despite the bulk, there's no way of clipping it to your belt or attaching a lanyard.
Disappointing
I wish I'd read the reviews first. I did foolishly assume that this would include screen protection - the one part you really don't want to scratch.
However I disagree with the critic about the wire management - maybe they haven't figured out how to use it. Not entirely their fault - there are no instructions provided.
At least it was quite cheap but I still need to find a screen protection solution. It appears that all the 'skins' etc on offer are the same - even the leather version is only protected by a folding flap, which prevents you SEEING the screen!
