As ordered - as expected!
Proporta Advanced Screen Protector For Creative Zen

This is the second one that I have bought - made the mistake of handling the other one with talc on my hands.
This protects very well - and of course reduces some of the sharpness of the screen in the process - I suppose that they all do. Just what I ordered - just what I expected.

Zen screen protection
I found this to be a cheap yet effective way to overcome the problem that most protective cases for the zen have no actual screen cover. Easy to apply, mine's been doing an excellent job for the past 3 or 4 months, saving my screen from dust, sand, scratches, ketchup and grubby fingerprints. I believe you can remove and reapply the cover (useful if you make a mistake and get an air bubble during application) but I admit that, following the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' principle, I haven't tried this! A useful product.

Unfortunately necessary
At first sight it does not look like you are getting much for your money: a small slice of transparent plastic, a cleaning cloth, and a bit of hard plastic. In the long term it will turn out to be money well-spent I think.

The cloth is for wiping your Zen first to get rid of all specks of dust that would otherwise be trapped under the screen. The hard plastic is for smoothing the cover and squeezing out any air pockets.

It is easy to apply and once it is on it stays in place. You can see the screen well through it; in fact the screen is better because the protector is less shiney than the Zen itself and makes the screen less prone to reflections and therefore easier to read.

This really makes up for the deficiency in the standard Zen covers that give absolutely no protection for the screen. I really dread to think what the player would look like by now if I didn't have the screen covered.
