BrilliShave!
For years I happily shaved with a Philishave but sadly, earlier in the year, one of our cats (Henrietta!) knocked it off a shelf and it smashed on the tiled floor.
I bought a new Philishave straight away, but was extremely disappointed - it turned out to be flimsy, made of cheap plastic, and the motor was underpowered such that it really struggled to cut the stubble. I could hardly believe it was made by the same company that had made my two previous excellent shavers. All in all it was a complete washout.
I spent ages looking at reviews of all sorts of other shavers, and in the end I took the plunge and bought this Panasonic. It is fantastic. The motor is well-powered, and it chews through the stubble without difficulty. It works really well as a dry shaver, but quite brilliantly using its wet shave function - as close as I get even with a blade.
The design is stylish, it feels great in the hand with its rubberised grip, and it's easy to clean. It charges in next to no time (1 hour) and the battery then goes on, and on, and on ...
I can't ever see myself going back to Philips, who look to me like a spent force in the men's shaver market these days. Panasonic are the new kids on the block!
Good close shave
Have owned a Braun foil type shaver for quite a few years. As its performance was not up to much recently I decided to replace it with a new model.
I was torn between this shaver and a Phillips cool skin, but opted for this one after seeing a few negative reviews for the Phillips. I am glad I chose this one.
I have to say this shaver gives me the closest shave of any electric razor I have ever used. In fact I have started using it along with shave gel and get a shave that is almost equal to a wet shave.
Thank you Panasonic
Because my facial hair grows quickly and is thick I only use an electric razor for a quick shave some weekends. In 35 years of shaving the recognised shaver manufacturers have failed to provide tool good enough for the job during the working week. When I needed to replace my razor this time I looked at reviews on the web, I didn't want another waste of money. The Panasonic ES7101S511 appeared popular and reviewed better than it's more expensive stable mates, I took the plunge and bought. Everyone that said it was good were right, the motor speed is able to plough through my beard with ease and the shave is good enough to go to work with. I have also used the shaver 3 times for a wet shave, fantastic, as good as any normal wet shaver. I found a shaving cream better than something that lathers up like foam. I can't fault the shaver, build quality, speed and most of all doing the job it was bought for, shaving. Excellent, thank you Panasonic.
