Amazon.co.uk Review
In a nutshell:
One of the most respected Western role-playing games of all time is back with huge improvements in graphics and accessibility, including a completely real-time combat system and the largest, most detailed game world ever seen. Phew.

The lowdown:
Although previous Elder Scrolls games have enjoyed something of a like it or loathe it reputation, this latest sequel has the means to appeal to everyone thanks to one simple improvement: its incredible new graphics. Unlike many role-playing games it is viewed from a first person perspective, with a game world portrayed in a staggering amount of detail, and realistic psychics and characters that genuinely seem to be going on about their own separate lives. The game’s real appeal though lies in the huge freedom: play it exactly how you want.

Most exciting moment:
Using the new combat engine to fight off dozens of enemies, then stealing one of their mounts and riding off into the sunset.

Since you ask:
Emperor Uriel Septim VII is voiced by Star Trek and X-Men luminary Patrick Stewart, but all the characters in the game have full spoken voiceovers instead of just onscreen text. This is the next generation, you know.

The bottom line:
One of the most realistic and accessible role-playing games ever made.
Harrison Dent

Customer Reviews

It's not a FUN game but its a blinking good one!4
Bored? got a few spare weeks\months to kill? then buy this game. It's great but its HUGE! especially if you are the sort of person who likes to do all the side quests and collect all the rare items etc. I loved it but did find that when i didnt play for a while - i tried to pick it back up where i started from and forgotten what i was doing. On the whole it is a cracking game! Lots of varied quests and places to go. Sometimes i found my graphics would glitch but its a small price to pay for some lovely detailed backgrounds and characters. It has the same format as most adventure games so its easy to pick up and go with it!. There are so many options like which guilds to join, are you 'good' or 'bad', do you follow the main quest or do all the little ones?....oh the list goes on!

A must get for all people who own a 3605
More Than 5*

One word to desribe this game: !!!!AMAZING!!!
The graphics is the example of next generation gaming. The best examples of graphics is the sky and transition of lighting, you can't beat it. But what makes this game stand out is its level of detail. Books upon books that is full of detail which people unfortunally never read. The world is extremly detailed, no part of a wood looks the same, and always unique. But what makes this different from other games is that all the conversations is fully spoken, not just text scrolling across the bottom. This is rare in these types of games and it is done exceptionally. The lip-syncing in this game is the BEST i have ever seen! And did you know that half of the data on the disk is sound?

I have had this game since it came out and i still play it at least every week, and this is rare for a video game.
There is so much to do, you will never get bored of this game. When you think the game is 'finished' you are wrong. After the main quest there are mini quests, items to colledct, explore the HUGE map, and countless other stuff to do (thats why I still play it). This game is amazing and it will be hard for The Elder Scrolls V to top it. Good work Bethesda

The only downside is the loading times, but this can be reduced by holding the 'a' button on startup.

A great game!

say good by to your free time5
all i will say about this game is that it is very VERY deep one of my friends (my 360 broke) has spent over fifty hours on the game and still does not have all the achevements and he ahs spent fifty hours on it.
