Customer Reviews
As explained, at odds with modern thinking
An attempt to reinforce opinionated views. Interestingly the bit on the grip (strong, not neutral) fits-in with more modern thoughts but that's about it. A major fault is that the fact that a return to the exact address position with a club travelling at 100 mph (hence centrigufal force and rotational moment) is not feasible. Makes me think that the older "swingers" were very good but didn't know why. Given that the book was written originally in the 1920s or 30's (can't be bothered to look at the precise date) is an indication of my views. However I may be wrong of course.
Ernest Jones' Swing the clubhead
There's really very little new in golf tuition or theory and this old little book is a very useful remonder of one of the essential basics - swing!
All you need
Although essentially just repeating the same core message over and over, and written in a style that is very old fashioned, the writer does a very good job in justifying the title's mantra. Take this to heart and you will improve your golf enjoyment.
