A must for all woodturners
This book is not just well written but also includes excellent, clear colour photographs of most of the woods that woodturners encounter. Mark also provides very useful tips for individual timbers as well as valuable health warnings.

The book is very well laid out and also includes photgraphs of finished items so the book also acts as a source of shapes and designs. One aspect that I really liked was the photographs of a particular wood with a finish applied, the finish is stated and shows the remarkable contrasts that can be achieved on a finished item.

10/10 for this book, buy it now!

''Wood turning for beginners''
I found this book plain and simple, i did not find it useful at all, it was writen in a very patronising way, as if it were aimed at beginners, unless you are planinng on restarting woodturning i would not advise this book.

On purchasing this product with high hopes, i was very dissapointed, i felt that mark was grammatically challenged with his use of words and his discriptive skills were not clear at all, the book seems as if it is written by someone who has never touched a lathe. I would not advise this to a serious woodturner, although i would advise it to anyone who is planning on turning a cuboid block of wood
