Wow!
I bought this album while on holiday in Istanbul at Easter. I had never heard of Mercan Dede but was attracted to the cover art. I had my iPhone with me so was able to check what sort of music it was and it appeared to be similar to the Buddha Bar series. When I got home and played it I was overwhelmed - what an amazing sound! Very evocative. Another 'highly recommended'!

Seriously, this is one of my favourite albums ever.
Anyone who likes world music/electronica cannot fail to appreciate the tracks here.
Mercan Dede continues to produce such a seemless synthesis of sounds which captures that timeless atmosphere of traditional eastern sounds with just the right touches of electronic ambience and beats.
Highly highly recommended!
