What every children's writer should own5
Having done without one of these books for some years, I finally got around to getting myself a copy. It has saved me hours of trailing through the internet looking for publishers that might accept unsolicited manuscripts. The writing advice is interesting and witty, but I think the main reason for owning this, is all the useful contact information.
Not sure I'll be buying one every year, but maybe every other year!

useful info4
Useful information listing publishers and agents which does save a lot of time! Some good articles to. However there may be large chunks of the book which do not apply to you. For example if you are just writing there are chapters on illustrating etc that aren't relevant.

good reference3
i first came across the first edition of this book in a bookstore by chance as i was only browsing for the latest edition of the original writers and artists yearbook. this is comprehensive reference for those who are seriously considering writing for children and need advice on going about it. contains wise words from published authors to contact details of publishers.
