A childs perspective4
For anyone interested in the horrendous years of the holocaust, to read an aspect given by children is quite alarming, but it also helps you to understand just not adults were affected at the time.

Book review1
Very disappointed with this book. I had thought it was an adult read but it is intended for under 12 year olds

An excellent book for young people interested in the Holocaust5
This is an excellent book. It seems unfair to me that the previous reviewer gave this book a low score because he didn't realise it was a book aimed at children. That surely says more about him than the book itself, which is exactly what I hoped it would be.
I have been teaching students (aged 8-17) about the Holocaust through music and drama this term and needed books that would inform young people about the reality of this time in a sensitive way to use as teaching aids.
I read it myself and then gave it to my 12 year old son to read. We both found it very thought provoking.

The book looks at children's experiences of the Holocaust. Set out as individual short but true stories. The Survivors Stories. Because these are the experiences of children, young people will find it easier to relate to them, which I think is helpful.
This book is an excellent way to introduce the subject of the Holocaust to children. Whilst the stories are hard to read in parts, they are not too graphic or upsetting for younger readers.
I would say this book would be perfect for any student over the age of 8, and unlike the previous reviewer, I (as an adult) also found it worth reading.

If you are looking for a similar book aimed more at adults then Forgotten Voices by Lyn Smith is certainly worth reading.
