A superb package for a superb game
A superb game deserves excellent add-on items such as these. The "Spore: Origins" is a lengthy hardback book with many very informative interviews and first-hand accounts from the creative team who made Spore, illustrated with a very insightful selection of prelimary drawings, production documents, and art. We see here what main sections had to be left out of the game in order to make a mass-market product - the underwater section before Creature, the city-building section before Civ, and the solar system exploration section before interstellar Space, among other lesser features. The Prima Game Guide book is in full-colour and is useful in winkling out all of the subtle and hidden features in the game. This really is an epic game, even in this initial mass-market version, and you're not going to be able to experience everything even on the second play-through. You'll certainly see and experience more with the help of this book. But, as with any "sandbox" game, there are as many ways to play through it there are players - and so this isn't so much a walkthrough as an illustration of "one possible path" plus all the stats and other game elements.
