Customer Reviews
If you liked Puppets, you will like this much more.
Having loved Hecht's writing style in Puppets, but slightly disappointed by the obvious killer, I decided Skull Session would be my next read and was suitably impressed. The way Hecht writes brings you right to the centre of the story and put shivers down my back throughout. The only negative in both books, which I regret to note, is that the conclusions seem rushed once killer has been foiled.
Highly recommended, I couldnt stop reading once I had started and am now feeling lost that I finished the book.
A Surprisingly Good Read
Well-researched psychology and psychiatry. Deals with subjects in a funny and sympathetic way. Easy to get into as the characters are well-rounded.Story centres around a divorced, unemployed man with mild Tourette's Syndrome and his discovery of some very strange goings-on in his family closet and his aunt's deserted home.
Unusual and gripping
When I picked this book up to read I was a little worried that it might contain too much in-depth 'psycho-babble' and not enough plot, how wrong I was! It is a thoroughly gripping and unusual read. It's part thriller, part detective story with a strong relationship thrown in for good measure. It's creepy,it's interesting and I didn't guess who the murderer was, which made a change.
