Editorial Reviews

Review
Highlight of the Season, Spring 2008 for 'meeting a growing need for new material and demonstrating the high quality of traditional tales being offered by Frances Lincoln.' (Children's Bookseller )

What a find! This is an absolute treasure of a book, beautiful to look at, silky to the touch and a delight to read… The universality of human emotions comes across through echoes of Rumplestiltskin, Brer Rabbit, Anasi, Pinocchio, yet the uniquness and mystery of Korea still shines through. It is a heart-warming experience where good wins over evil, kindness over weakness, brains over brawn and virtue is duly rewarded. The delicacy of the illustrations is quite enchanting and mirrors the tone of the text. I can't wait to get into school and entrance a class of young listeners with these richly textured stories. (School Librarian )

The Land of the Dragon King is a lovely book and one just needs to look at the slightly mischievous dragon on the back cover and the teasing dragons inside to know that it will be a treat. (www.papertigers.org )
