Synopsis
Nigel Farrell sets off in a Morris Minor on a quest to discover the perfect village. Travelling via Bosham in Sussex, Lacock in Wiltshire, Drewsteignton in Devon, Finchingfield in Essex and Coneysthorpe in North Yorkshire, he finally stumbles upon the perfect place.

An entertaining travelogue of some English Villages
This is an enjoyable and idiosyncratic 'search' for a perfect village. The author drives his old and cared for car and goes to look at several villages of differing types. He visits one on the coast; one in the West Country; an East Anglian village, a Yorkshire estate village and then one final village. Its more a BBC type programme rather than a film and is satisfying to view as it is both colourful and kept interesting by the characters that he meets and also by the direction of the film which is smooth and professional. Whether the last, and 'perfect' village is a cheat I will leave you to decide. It is a very good and easy to watch film but does not have the depth that might make you want to buy it; so a good rental item!
