BTCC 2001 - hi quality, plus added extras...4
The 2000 season was not have the best in edge-of-your-seat action (like 1998 was for example), but with Ford, Vauxhall and Honda all fielding 3 cars apiece, throw in a sprinkling of indie superstar Matt Neal, the brand new "class B" alongside and this DVD makes for good watching nonetheless.
In-car footage is plenty, crashes are numerous, and the commentary from Charlie Cox and ex-F1 winner John Watson is superb.
Now, onto the extras. On a 3 hour video it would be a pain to fast forward to individual races, so you can just jump straight there now. Grid positions, race results, circuit maps, and championship standings after every round are availbable to view, plus see Charlie's grid walks that were edited out of the normal VHS review.
Read short biographies about the top drivers, and a very brief BTCC history from 1958.
However, there are some niggles. There are some web addresses given, a few of which are now out of date and the biographies and history could have been fuller.

Also, when you wish to return to the sub-menu from a race, sometimes it will take you to the wrong sub-menu.
Aside from those moans, it's a good memorial of the 2000 season.
