A Good Introduction To The Prince 2 Methodology.
As a newcomer to the Prince 2 Project methodology I found this book was clear and easily understood. All of the topics covered are easily understood from the text and accompanying graphics.

My only concern was the fact that the guide does not allude to the exams in any way and as such you are never quite sure if you are getting all of the information that you require to pass the Prince 2 exams. If you are looking for a study guide to lead you to the Prince 2 Exams, you are better off with the much more laboured but comprehensive CCTA Manual.

If you want a good introduction to the Prince 2 methodology in a concise and informative package then this book should be a strong contender.

A very good book from which to learn
I tried to read other books, but found that I really couldn't stick at it, it's SUCH a dry subject, with illogical naming
conventions. I got about 30 to 40 pages through the big pink manual, before realising that I was going to fail the exam, probably due to premature death-by-boredom.

So I got this smaller, and better guide along with the Crazy colour chart to go with it. This book is *so* much better. It is an invaluable learning aid to anyone sitting the first exam. It presents everything in a much more interesting (and expedient) way. But the best thing about it, is that almost every sentence is in the book FOR A REASON. Unlike the pink manual which waffles, all of the individual sentences in this book are targetted at helping you do the Foundation exams. all
information is laid out in the same format as it will appear in question form in the exam, brilliant!

If you want to go on to greater things (like the second exam), you'll be needing the pink manual, I'm afraid. But starting with this book, you are many times more likely to succeed at
the first.

I only give it four stars because I *did* feel that if they'd
gone into a little more detail about some of the more puzzling aspects, I could have probably done without the pink book altogether.

The best of a limited bunch of texts on PRINCE2
Although a little long winded this is by far the best book in a rather limited set of texts on the subject. If your looking for help with projessional exams then definantly start here. Most processes and concepts are simplified into bullet points and while this seems like a simple way to learn the topic the benefits are lost when you realise that practically every page is a list of points.
Ultimately, however a very good explanation of a complex topic provided the reader isn't intent on remembering every single point on a first read.
