The Best and Worst of the Official Bond Series.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service [DVD] [1969]On Her Majesty's Secret Service [DVD] [1969]
Lazenby-haters will degrade this film without even seeing it. They are all wrong. By far the best Bond (and the longest up until 'CR') and by far (far, far, far) the most emotional. J'aime.
From Russia With Love [DVD] [1963]From Russia With Love [DVD] [1963]
Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £4.99
A masterpiece in drama and suspense. Less action than almost all other Bond films means the film delivers a more character and plot driven story. Only one film has less action and more drama...
Goldfinger [DVD] [1964]Goldfinger [DVD] [1964]
Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £2.99
Almost universally seen as the best Bond flick. Yes, it's iconic and well made... so yes, it's a great Bond film.
Casino Royale (Deluxe Edition) [DVD]Casino Royale (Deluxe Edition) [DVD]
Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £3.99
Expunge 'Quantum of Solace' from your mind and see this film as its own; a wonderfully crafted reboot of the Bond series.
The Living Daylights [DVD] [1987]The Living Daylights [DVD] [1987]
Yes, it's got Timothy Dalton. Yes, it's got A-Ha. Yes, it's a darker and more edgy Bond.
Dr. No [DVD] [1962]Dr. No [DVD] [1962]
Buy new: £7.88 / Used from: £2.87
Bond's feature film debut is a must see for any Bond fan.
Goldeneye [DVD] [1995]Goldeneye [DVD] [1995]
Buy new: £7.18 / Used from: £2.79
Realistically, Brosnan's only decent Bond film. A benchmark for all modern Bond fans.
For Your Eyes Only [DVD] [1981]For Your Eyes Only [DVD] [1981]
Buy new: £14.69 / Used from: £3.98
Feel free to disagree but the film serves as a nice quasi-equillibrium for Bond after a few hectic films.
Thunderball [DVD] [1965]Thunderball [DVD] [1965]
Buy used from: £4.75
Better than 'YOLT' and with good effects and suspense that forshadows the "Blofeld trilogy".
The Spy Who Loved Me [DVD] [1977]The Spy Who Loved Me [DVD] [1977]

I'm divided on this film, but from a technical standpoint its one of the best.
Octopussy [DVD] [1983]Octopussy [DVD] [1983]
Buy used from: £6.00
Again, underrated. The clown may ruin it for some though, and Moore is starting to show his age. Otherwise its an enjoyable film. Don't let the stupid title fool you.
Licence To Kill [DVD] [1989]Licence To Kill [DVD] [1989]
Arguably the most violent Bond film. The film feels ancient and, as the result of overspending on 'Moonraker', the team obviously cut back on many things. A decent, if underrated, adventure.
Tomorrow Never Dies [DVD] [1997]Tomorrow Never Dies [DVD] [1997]
Buy used from: £5.80
Rather forgettable but overly brutal and sadistic. One of the worst villains and an underdeveloped (although well-presented) media themed plot.
Live And Let Die [DVD] [1973]Live And Let Die [DVD] [1973]
Moore is heavily out-of-place in New Orleans and the film is far too humourous as a result. Still, its one of Moore's better Bond films.
You Only Live Twice [DVD] [1967]You Only Live Twice [DVD] [1967]
Buy new: £12.98 / Used from: £4.75
What should have been a dark trek into infiltrating SPECTRE and learning the ways of the ninja turned out as a childish action film. That's what you get for having Roald Dahl write the screenplay.
The Man With The Golden Gun [DVD] [1974]The Man With The Golden Gun [DVD] [1974]
Buy used from: £8.94
Long, dull and all the character's are very angry (just listen to the briefing scene between M, Q and Bond, its brutal!). Christopher Lee provides a decent villain amidst this goofy self-satire.
The World Is Not Enough [DVD] [1999]The World Is Not Enough [DVD] [1999]
Buy new: £17.97 / Used from: £3.99
A hyperkinetic Bond flick that at least is entertaining. Something 'DAD' did not achieve.
Moonraker [DVD] [1979]Moonraker [DVD] [1979]

Bond in space. That is all.
Quantum of Solace [DVD] [2008]Quantum of Solace [DVD] [2008]
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £4.95
If you truly love Bond, you will cry at how much they messed this up. The film is overly sinister and leaves you feeling cheated and betrayed. The colour seems to have been bled from the filters too.
A View To A Kill [DVD] [1985]A View To A Kill [DVD] [1985]
Christopher Walken and Duran Duran are all that make this film better than 'DAF'. It's messy, Moore is too old for the (way too) numerous stunts and the film is a depressing 'so-long' to Roger Moore.
Diamonds Are Forever [DVD] [1971]Diamonds Are Forever [DVD] [1971]
Buy new: £14.78 / Used from: £7.75
After the amazing Lazenby-led 'OHMSS', Connery returns to a turgid, mess of a film. Connery's dreariest Bond film and a huge disappointment after 'OHMSS's amazing ending. Good theme song. That is all.
Die Another Day [DVD] [2002]Die Another Day [DVD] [2002]

Over-the-top-CGI-ice-palace-solar-beam-huge-satellite-Halle-Berry-styled OVERKILL! To each his/her own, see what you want but I warn you; This is not Bond!
